Final tribune for private forest owners (PFOs) from Polog region
On 12 March (Tuesday) 2019, in the premises of the municipality of Tetovo, was held the final debate within the project: "Private forests for positive changes in the Polog region".
The results of the analysis of the current situation and the level of cooperation between the local self-government and the owners of private forests from the Polog planning region from the municipalities of Vrapciste, Mavrovo and Rostushe, Tearce and Jegunovce were presented at this tribune.
The event was opened by the project coordinator, Mr Daniel Gjenchevski, who greeted the audience and thanked them for the presence and their engagement during the project. Then the president of the National Association of Private Forest Owners (NAPFO), Mr Vojo Sokolovski. Expert presentation on the analysis of the current situation and the level of cooperation between the local self-government and the owners of private forests in the Polog planning region was presented by the expert, Mr Vladimir Stojanovski. Through the analysis, but also with the developed discussion, the importance of the owners of the private forests and the civil sector in the process of decision making and inclusion of them in the processes of creating local and regional policies for dealing with natural disasters in the Polog planning region was emphasized.
