Regional Centre for Forestry and Rural development (REFORD) signed a Letter of Agreement with Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to conduct the second phase of the NWFPs study, more specifically to conduct an “In-depth study on use of non-wood forest products (NWFPs) in selected Western Balkan countries”. The selected countries for the second phase are North Macedonia, Serbia and Albania.
In this phase, based on the results from the prepared studies in the first phase, more in-depth data collection regarding different aspects of use and regulations dealing with NWFPs in the selected project countries will be conducted.
The project envisaged preparation of reports based on the household surveys to be implemented, as well as reports on data availability related to NWFPs in the project countries.
The project will be finalized with organization of a regional workshop on state and use of NWFPs in the Western Balkan region.
